The early harvest olive oil MARMARO is harvested from 15 September till 15 October from green olives in Halkidiki, Greece. The harvest season in Halkidiki is the first in the world, a month earlier than other olive oil producing territories like Crete and Kalamata. The Chalkidiki olive variety is better known for the shiny large sized green olives! MARMARO, meaning marble in Greek, is also the location name of one of our olive groves. We offer both early harvest extra virgin olive oil and conventional extra virgin olive oil, made from the Halkidiki coarse olive variety. Our EVOO has a health claim due to its low acidity of 0. 18 and a high polyphenol content (681mg/kg). It has a distinct, intense aroma and a slightly bitter, spicy aftertaste. We also produce two types of olives: Green olives and Black Raisin olives, both from the Halkidiki olive variety, and we produce olive pastes made from Halkidiki green and black olives, with various flavor options. It is important to note that the highest quality olives are used in all of our flavors.
