Nomes Kerkinis Company was set up in 2013 as an idea among two friends, by the apiarist Vangelis Zlatintsis and the sales manager Akis Pechlivanidis their motive was their mutual love for honey and their interest in the 'bees' world'. They have their beehives in the breath-taking Kerkini Mountain (Beles) and in the outskirts of Kerkini Lake, a blessed place which is protected by the Ramsar Convention and comprises a part of the European Network "Natura 2000". Establishing their company was their next step with a sole goal to produce, pack and standardize honey and beehives products. Their intervention to honey production is the minimum possible, as they strive to provide the consumer with top quality honey, directly from the beehive to consumption. The company operates commercially in three areas. 1. Direct distribution to families - consumers through the "Adopt a hive" program. 2. Sales abroad. 3. Supply of hotel units.
